House of Music and Entertainment (HOME Bar)
The House of Music and Entertainment, or HOME Bar for short, has been around since 2012. Chicago sports teams decorate the walls along with plasma TVs for watching the big game. This restaurant, lounge, bar, and entertainment venue exudes an iconic lounge atmosphere. Executive Chef Anthony Sabella offers American dishes with a twist, like brisket chili nachos, Thai shrimp tacos, and buffalo chicken sliders. The HOME Bar provides special menus for occasional brunches, a full lunch, happy hour, dinner, and late-night specials.
The full bar has libations you can enjoy on the outdoor patio, at a table with built-in taps and shots, or in the theater. The entertainment at HOME Bar is impressive, with local and nationally recognized entertainment, like DJs, bands, and other live entertainment. The 15,000 square foot theater has a large stage, stadium booth seating, and a state-of-the-art sound system. Every Tuesday night there's trivia at 7:00 p.m., every Wednesday is open mic comedy, and every Sunday there's karaoke at 10:00 p.m.
The House of Music and Entertainment is located at 1227 North Rand Road in Arlington Heights.
Arlington Ale House
You'll find the Arlington Ale House's 10,000 square feet of drink and fun on the third floor of the Metropolis building. Previously occupied by Labatt USA Beer Academy, the unique space has three different bars and a training room. There's no kitchen, hostess, or waitstaff but you're welcome to bring your own food, have food delivered, and find your own seats. Seating is first come first serve, with several large community tables for big groups and parties. Make yourself at home, check in with the friendly staff at the bar, and ask for delivery menus from behind the bar.
Besides being a great place to hang out, eat, and drink your favorite beers, wines, or mixed drinks, it's also ideal for bar games and entertainment. Relax with family and friends while playing pool, shuffleboard, or throwing darts. There's even a game room with games like air hockey and pinball. The Arlington Ale House updates its events calendar weekly, so check it often to see what new bands, DJs, and fun events pop up on the calendar. Every Thursday night you can sign up for Open Mic Night at 7:30 p.m.
The Arlington Ale House is located at 111 West Campbell Street in Arlington.
WhirlyBall
If you're looking for a more active social experience, WhirlyBall might be the venue for you. Invite your friends to an evening of delicious food, craft beer, and fun games. The Pivot Room serves a culinary forward menu with a fresh new take on American dishes like chicken fried cheese curds and buffalo cauliflower wings. There's an expansive and rotating selection of craft beer to choose from as well as signature cocktails. Check out WhirlyBall's event calendar for their Summer Series specials, summer Christmas parties, and other fun activities.
After dinner, prepare for an exhilarating game of WhirlyBall or laser tag. Although it's best to make a reservation, walk-ins are always welcome. The 4,000 square foot WhirlyBall court is perfect for bumping cars, making slam dunks, and cross-checking your buddies for an active, memorable, and unique evening with a high possibility of fun embarrassment. A combination of hockey, basketball, and lacrosse in a bumper car, if you've never played WhirlyBall you've got to give it a chance.
